OurHome Cold Noodles with Kimchi Broth
A Korean food enterprise, OurHome, has recently released new cold noodle products which utilize a kimchi fermentation technique: Sonsoo Rice Noodles with Cold Kimchi Broth and Sonsoo Mul-Naengmyeon with Cold Kimchi Broth.
The two products use a special type of kimchi broth that gives them a sweet-and-sour kimchi flavor. The broth is a fermented extract made with kimchi seasonings, napa cabbage juice, and white radish juice using a technique developed by OurHome.
The noodles for Sonsoo Rice Noodles with Cold Kimchi Broth are made with rice instead of flour, out of consideration for consumers’ health. Sonsoo Mul-Naengmyeon with Cold Kimchi Broth uses buckwheat noodles and has a great aroma thanks to the addition of potato starch.

Both products are HMR (Home Meal Replacement) foods that can be cooked quickly and easily irrespective of age or gender. First, boil and cool down the noodles. Then, pour in the separately packaged kimchi broth. The entire cooking process takes just a couple of minutes. You can garnish the dish to your liking with a boiled egg and sliced cucumber. For a crispier taste, add sliced kimchi as a topping.
